This session describes how Albemarle, the leading global producer of Lithium, Bromine and Catalyst solutions, built a real-time Manufacturing Excellence Management System (MEMS) using the PI system & Shiftconnector. The 100% cloud based application helps increase operation discipline through a set of digital playbooks, best practices, and KPIs -incl. OEE- enabled with the PI system & Shiftconnector. The solution consumes PI Event Frames to drive Shiftconnector capabilities for identifying and classifying production losses, including batch performance, equipment availability and quality. The solution provides real-time insights into production performance and efficiency, across multiple production sites. Reports and KPIs can be monitored at the unit, site and corporate level. Albemarle production facilities using the solution to identify and resolve issues causing production losses and downtime. The system provides management with realtime production reports and dashboards, incl. OEE.
