The City of Salem has worked with the PI System for over 5 years. Through a strong internal team that is willing to take on challenges, a strong infrastructure in the PI System and a trusted partner, the relatively small city of Salem has been able to lead much larger utilities in managing their water and predicting how weather or other external factors will impact their quantity and quality of supply. This presentation covers the ways that the City of Salem was able to utilize AVEVA Data Hub to connect multiple partners with their data, utilize external data science algorithms with their data, visualize that data from AVEVA Data Hub in external tools, and more importantly - utilize the data coming back from these analytics to save money on water quality testing and predict the bacteria levels in their water up to a week ahead of time.
