PI Meets BI
10:00 - 13:00 CET
Integrating the PI System with Business Intelligence (BI) tools is an effective way to use your process data for reporting and analytics. BI client tools offer the ability to run retrospective analyses on a much larger set of your real-time PI System data. BI helps you learn from operational behaviors and patterns, identify dependencies and correlations of various factors within your operations.
In this lab, we will showcase the PI Integrator for Business Analytics Business Intelligence tool for analyzing your PI Data.
Asset Framework: Basics
10:00 - 13:00 CET
Learn the skills needed to successfully model your processes and equipment using the Asset Framework (AF) Server.
Organize assets into AF hierarchies
Standardize models across different assets
Create tables to store asset data
Create simple formula-based calculations
Prerequisites: Completion of PI System Basics
AVEVA™ Data Hub Remote Monitoring
10:00 - 13:00 CET
In this lab, you will be given the opportunity to work with one of our newest adapters, PI Adapter for MQTT. You will be taken through the process of collecting with simulated truck data from a MQTT Broker using the PI Adapter to send data to AVEVA Data Hub (ADH) for modeling and monitoring your fleet of assets.
Prerequisites: Completion of PI System Basics
PI Adapters – PI System Ingress
10:00 - 13:00 CET
This lab will give you hands-on experience with PI Adapters, our latest Data Ingress for the PI System. We’ll focus on configuring the PI Adapter for OPC UA from scratch, reading from an OPC UA Server and egress to a PI Server. We’ll also take a quick look at our Adapters for Modbus, and MQTT, and egress to Edge Data Store (EDS),and AVEVA Data Hub (ADH).
Prerequisite: Completion of PI System Basics
PI Vision: Beyond the Basics
14:00 - 17:00 CET
This lab is designed for people who already use PI Vision and are looking to enhance their displays with more advanced PI Vision features. Advanced features in PI Vision have a strong reliance on Asset Framework so having experience working with PI System Explorer is helpful.
Prerequisites: Completion of PI System Basics
Calculations and Analytics
14:00 - 17:00 CET
In this lab, you will learn how to create different types of asset analytics to gain more insight into your data. Using Asset Framework (AF), we will explore a range of calculation methods including formula and value retrieval modes for simple calculations, expressions with multi-line calculations, and roll-ups for aggregate attributes.
Prerequisite: Completion of PI System Basics and strong familiarity with Asset Framework.
PI System Administration: Troubleshooting
14:00 - 17:00 CET
This lab is designed to help beginner PI Administrators with management and administration of their PI System. The troubleshooting exercises are based on real life support cases of Product Support Engineers.
Prerequisites: Completion of PI System Basics and familiarity with troubleshooting problems with the PI System
Data Views: Leveraging Cloud Data
14:00 - 17:00 CET
This lab will show users how AVEVA Data Hub (ADH) extends PI System infrastructure to support enterprise-wide advanced analytics and machine learning.
In this lab, you will gain hands-on experience with a ADH Data Views and the ADH Power BI Connector. Data Views enable users to easily define, visualize, query and shape data sets required for data science.
